The first sign-in is not merely administrative. It turns temporary access into the personal, traceable identity of a specific employee and protects devices, service history, inventory and company data.
Before you begin
- Have access to your work email and usual device.
- Install an authenticator app in advance if MFA is required.
- Store recovery codes in the company password manager, not phone notes.
First access
Printexus first asks for a language and a strong personal password. The temporary password cannot be reused.
- Choose the application language.
- Meet every password rule shown below the field.
- Confirm the password and continue to Dashboard.
MFA and recovery codes
If the company requires MFA, the account cannot continue until enrollment is complete. Scan the QR code and store recovery codes outside Printexus.
Optional passkey
A passkey uses Windows Hello, Face ID, fingerprint or device PIN. It is optional and can be removed later in My Account.
- Use a password unique to Printexus.
- Create passkeys only on a trusted work device.
- Review active methods and sessions in My Account.
- Sharing one account destroys individual audit accountability.
- Keeping an MFA QR photo in the gallery creates unnecessary risk.
- Postponing recovery-code storage may cause account lockout.
The result is a personal account with a strong password, verified second factor and safe recovery path.
